It is with extreme sadness that the members of the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society announce the recent passing of Barbara McCallum. Barbara was a treasured member of our society for 36 years, being invited in 1990, and is known for her beautiful tonal traditional oil paintings. She studied with Graham Moore and excelled in portraiture, still life and landscapes. Her highly collectable art work was sought after at gallery art exhibitions and art shows. She achieved numerous awards of high distinction and taught at her own studio school for many years. Barbara will be highly missed but leaves a legacy of beautiful paintings as a standard for upcoming painters to reach.
