“From an early age I was lucky enough to come under the influence of Milly and Archie Colquhuon in Lorne, where I lived. After moving to Melbourne, Archie put me in touch with Graham Moore where my journey in tonal realism began”.

“Graham taught and mentored me for a number of years, which eventually led me to become a teacher of traditional painting”.

My favourite quote of his is: “The visible world is made up of different intensities of light and dark with the added beauty of colour. Learning to observe subject matter and to really understand what we are looking at, is what I believe to be the heart and soul of a realist painter’s training.“
